Cyclone Bola - Novel Study

Cyclone Bola, written by Kath Beattie is a historical novel written as the diary of a 12/13 year old girl. It is set in 1988 and is based around Cyclone Bola hitting Gisborne and the surrounding areas. This novel covers one of New Zealand's most devastating natural disasters. This novel is made more interesting to read with the recent events of Cyclone Bola.
