Figurative Language Resource

Teaching figurative language is a lot of fun to and gives you students the opportunity to get really creative with their writing. This slideshow and graphic organiser are all that you will need to teach your students 8 types of figurative language: simile, metaphor, oxymoron, idiom, alliteration, personification, onomatopoeia and hyperbole.
 
Included in this resource are wall tiles to go onto the classroom wall as a quick reference for students. Add them to the wall when you are teaching figurative language and encourage your students to refer to them often.
