Star Constellation Myth

Let your students get creative by creating a Star Constellation and a myth to explain how it came to be in the night sky.
 
This is an engaging writing activity where students can enjoy getting a lot of choice around the myth they can write. This could be set up as a quick write, with a quick explanation, or could be done over numerous lessons with a piece of art (ideas included) and the myth published being made at the end.
 
Teaching students the structure of myths is important learning about text structure, author's purpose and text types.
